That's going in my chart

A couple of weeks ago, my friend Azucar posted about her Meyers Briggs results.
The next day, I was given a copy of the test in a meeting and was asked to complete it by our next meeting.
A few days later, while out with Hoss' sister and her husband, I made a remark to which they both replied, "Oh, you must be an ISTP!"
I took this test early on in my career, thought it was interesting, then haven't thought a whole lot about it until now.
Today was the day we got our results and discussed what they mean.

You can take a short version of the test here, and then discover more about the results here.
In a nutshell:
E (talk it out) / I (think it through)
S (specifics) / N (big picture)
T (logical implications) / F (impact on people)
J (joy of closure) / P (joy of processing)
My results were not surprising. I scored exactly equal on Introvert vs. Extrovert. Although, I believe my nature is more introverted. I'm also exactly equal on Thinking vs. Feeling, again, no surprise there. I am definitely a Sensing type and definitely a Perceiving type. The two latter types moderately favored the opposing options.
My results? ISTP and ISFP and ESTP and ESFP.
I hope this doesn't mean I have multiple personalities. Do you think it does?
STOP THE VOICES!!!
It's interesting to me that I change (and I think we all do) depending on the situation. I have also evolved from a structured and organized 'J' who likes to be in control, into becoming a spontaneous-let's see what happens-fly by the seat of our pants-'P'.
Hoss hasn't taken it yet. My guess for him is ESFJ (he just took it...I was wrong, he's an ESFP)
My other results include:
Color Code~Equal parts Blue/White (with a sliver each of red and yellow).
Animal Kingdom~(choices are Lion, Monkey, Owl, or Golden Retriever) I thought I was an Owl. I was a little pissed to learn I am a Golden Retriever. I have since learned that that is a beautiful thing. I own it.
MMPI~Those results are confidential. I could tell you, but then I'd have to...
What are YOUR results?

ENFP!

A Red-blue mix, more red, though.

Oh, I've taken that before. I don't remember what I was but I'll have to take it again.

ESTP/ESFP

Doesn't this mean I'm only minimally MPD?

I'm all over the color chart--maybe more of a rainbow.

And I think I'm also Pocahontas, which really set me off because I really hated that movie.

But I just found out I am a break dancer and that's cool...

ISFJ. It has changed slightly each time I take it. Chalk it up to multiple personalities I guess.

I can't remember my letters, but I do remember that my results said my particular configuration (du jour) was common to only 4% of the population. Like I needed somebody else to tell me I'm weird.

What if I'm too lazy to go take the test in the first place?
I think in the Animal Kingdom that makes me a slug. Not sure about all the other charts though.

OK, ok, I went and did it. ISFJ. Does that mean Rynell and I are soul mates?

ESTJ - "Administrator". Much in touch with the external environment. Very responsible. Pillar of strength. 8.7% of total population.
I've taken the long version several times throughout my life, and while the E and J have never changed, the middles have vacillated a bit.
Is it any wonder I prefer cognitive therapy to art therapy? ;)

ESTJ

Very accurate. I'm very bossy. Just ask my three little sisters. :)

ESFJ.

I'd say this is pretty accurate but I'll bet that if I took it again tomorrow it could be different. It faild to pick up the moody part of me..LOL

i think i was esfj, but i can't remember and i'm too lazy to go back and take it again.

is that one of the characteristics of esfj? forgetfullness or laziness?

if so that is ME.

ISFP

That explains a lot!

ESFJ - "Seller". Most sociable of all types. Nurturer of harmony. Outstanding host or hostesses. 12.3% of total population.

This is very accurate for me. I am very social in groups of people I know, but I have a hard time meeting new people, mingling at a party with people I don't know, etc.

Oh, and I am a certified "Blue", out to save the world!

Thanks you guys!

I think it's so interesting to figure people out....I enjoy being right about them, but also enjoy being surprised.

Today I am an ESFJ. It might change when the stress level of selling and buying homes is gone.

Most of my percentages were very close to the middle. I guess I balanced out in my old age ;)

I hadn't taken this for about 5 years.

What does it say about me if I can't bring myself to go take the test? I read the first question and just didn't feel like going further. Lame. Sorry.

Maybe next week when all of my house guests have left and my house is spotless. Haha! Spotless!

INFP - "Questor". High capacity for caring. Emotional face to the world. High sense of honor derived from internal values. 4.4% of total population.

Funny the last time I took the MB it said I was INFJ The Sage...

Last time I checked Blue & White topped followed shortly by Yellow with minimal Red... Shocker.

Never heard the animal one before!

ESFJ
and now I'm curious about your MMPI- maybe you do have multiple personalities :)
I'm the same as you on the color test but when I took it after being a mom for years I found I had a lot more red than when I did it as a college student. Mom's need a little red to get 'er done plus I think some of my hubby has rubbed off on me!

klin...I change a bit too, depending on the sitch.

I've done so much psychoanalyzing of myself in recent years, I'm plum burned out! You know me well--what would you guess my results to be?

However, surprise, surprise--I am a blue/white (very little red or yellow), AND I thought I was an owl, but turned out to be a Golden Retriever as well. :)

Um, yeah...Amy? We're pretty much the same person, you and I.

Pretty much.
